About WIFT Western Australia

The WIFT WA committee supports female and non-binary filmmakers in their career advancement and development, and exists to champion gender equality in the WA screen industry. Western Australia’s screen industry is a vibrant scene, brimming with talent against the backdrop of the region’s stunning landscapes. The region is famous for hosting major film events like the Revelation Perth International Film Festival, WA Made Film Festival, and CinefestOZ Film Festival, and construction underway for a new studio complex in the state is currently underway, further growing the industry’s capabilities.

WIFT WA facilitates networking and participation in social and educational events, bolsters member confidence through connection, and propels careers by spotlighting the rich diversity of talent among WA Members. In doing so, WIFT WA advocates for change and greater gender equality within the screen industry.
