WIFT Australia Membership
WIFT Australia membership is now open, with options to suit everyone!
Your membership fees will go towards WIFT Australia's advocacy for women and non-binary screen industry practitioners and the development of initiatives including Raising Films Australia and MentorHer Mentorship Program.
WIFT Australia members* are eligible to participate in initiatives and events and receive the industry/guild discount rate for AACTA Membership along with various other offers and discounts from our partners.
* all States & Territories included. Please note that WIFT VIC is a separate state-based entity. Existing WIFT VIC members may upgrade to WIFT Australia membership
Membership Types
Professional Membership - $80
Full and concession memberships are only available to women and non-binary screen screen industry professionals.
Concession Membership - $40
Full and concession memberships are only available to women and non-binary screen screen industry professionals. Concession membership is available to those who self-declare based on income. This can include if you are self-employed or on a low income (for example, less than $40,000).
Student Membership - $30
Student membership is for an aspiring or emerging screen professional who is studying full-time at an Australian educational institution. Student members do not hold voting rights but may request access access to the WIFT Australia Facebook group.
Supporter Membership - $40
Supporter membership is a way for someone who is not a woman or non-binary screen industry professional to support WIFT Australia. For example, this could be a male-identifying person in or outside of the screen industry or female or non-binary person who is not working in the screen industry. Supporters do not hold voting rights or access to the WIFT Australia Facebook group.
All memberships are valid for 12 months. You will be prompted to renew at this time.
Members are invited to submit to screen-related news to be featured in the WIFT Australia e-newsletter. For example, festival acceptances, awards, cast and crew call outs and upcoming screenings. Sponsored Memberships - $80
This initiative allows for organisations and individuals to purchase memberships to be gifted, as a way of taking action to strengthen and nurture diversity. WIFT Australia strives to include members of all cultural heritages, backgrounds, abilities, and sexual orientation and recognises that subsidised memberships may assist to achieve this aim. National and state affiliation
Your WIFT Australia membership is nationally based and also connects you to local Chapter. For example, by becoming a member of WIFT Australia, you automatically become a member of the Chapter in the state where you live (or in any state when you’re traveling). The only exception is for WIFT VIC member, where you must pay a small additional “upgrade” fee to become a WIFT Australia member as well.
