WIFT Australia Membership

WIFT Australia general membership is now open!

Your membership fees will go towards WIFT Australia's advocacy for female-identifying filmmakers and the development of initiatives including Raising Films Australia and MentorHer Mentorship Program.

WIFT Australia members will be eligible to participate in initiatives, events and WIFT networking nights and will receive the industry/guild discount rate for AACTA Membership along with various other offers and discounts from our partners.

Membership Chapters

All states except Victoria should join WIFT Australia via links at the bottom of this page.

WIFT Victoria is handling their own memberships while all other states should purchase their membership through WIFT Australia. For WIFT Victorian members who wish to upgrade to WIFT Australia, please click through below for a special rate.

    This link is if you are a WIFT Victoria member and wish to upgrade to WIFT Australia. WIFT Australia are national advocates for screen gender equity and run national events and initiatives. WIFT Victoria is a separate local event and networking organisation.

WIFT Western Australia are currently transitioning towards WIFT Australia and to assist in the transition, will receive a special membership rate during the handover period. Only residents of WA can access this price.

Membership Types

Professional Member - $80

Full & concession membership is only available to female-identifying screen professionals in the screen industry.

Concession Member - $40

Concession membership is available to those who self-declare and is based on income. If you are self employed or low income but may not necessarily have government concession eligibility.

Student Member - $30

Student membership is someone studying full-time at an Australian Educational Institution. Students do not hold voting rights.

Supporter Member - $40

Supporter membership is someone who is not a female-identifying screen industry professional but wants to support the organisation (could be male identifying members inside or outside the industry or female-identifying members who are not screen industry practitioners). Supporters do not hold voting rights or access to the WIFT Australia Facebook Group.

All memberships are valid for 12 months.

Members are welcome to submit to WIFT Australia e-news spotlighting screen-related achievements and news from our current members. This might be festival acceptances, awards and upcoming screenings.
