Dame Changer and Stan’s Lottie Lyell Scholarship returns
Dame Changer and Stan are thrilled to present the Lottie Lyell Scholarship, an initiative honouring screen pioneer Lottie Lyell by supporting the professional development of two Australian women filmmakers. The successful applicants will attend Creative England’s Market Trader intensive feature film development programme at the European Film Market at Berlinale, 22-25 February 2020.
The Market Trader programme equips participants with the knowledge and support they need to understand the global film market, to plan and target their approach and develop the skills and relationships to get female-led, Australian screen projects in front of a global audience.
The inaugural recipients in 2018 were filmmaker and artist Juliet Darling and film practitioner and producer Virginia Whitwell.
“Our project NUDE TUESDAY now has a sales agent thanks to meetings conducted in Berlin. The experience has given me connections to many agents, distributors and financiers, several of whom we are now in correspondence with on a number of projects.”
- Virginia Whitwell
All costs will be covered by Dame Changer and Stan, with airfares generously discounted by Stage and Screen.
Applications are now open for Dame Changer members only (a great reason to be a DC member) and close on Friday 22nd November 2019. For eligibility, guidelines, more details and to apply, please go to: https://www.damechanger.com/market-trader/
