WIFT Australia Events

WIFT Australia provides a number of programs, events and initiatives throughout the year for members. These include the Big Screen Sister Mentorship Program, MentorHer, Raising Films Australia, networking sessions, workshops and panel discussions. MentorHer 2020 - Applications Now Open!

MentorHer is a three month program that facilitates mentorships between emerging, early career, or those looking to shift into a new area in the screen industry, and experienced practitioners. The initiative offers support and guidance to help further careers within the screen industry. 

We encourage applications from diverse backgrounds and from all areas within the industry including games, distribution, cinematography and composition.

Greenlight Network - Pitch and Network - NSW

Presented by: WIFT, AFTRS & Compton School 

You will have 6 minutes to pitch your project. Pitching is an art, and there is no substitute for practice. Draw on the expertise of the Australian Film Television and Radio School and Compton School’s Greenlight Network to test a new project or new pitch and get real time feedback.

Audience members will vote for the projects they think have merit. This is your chance to watch and learn from your peers – and help them move their projects forward.
